The client seeks an Azure Cloud Engineer who will help build and evolve Azure cloud platforms, including a Swiss Sovereign Cloud environment and other regional workloads. The role focuses on delivering production‑ready Infrastructure as Code, primarily using Bicep, to keep the cloud services stable, secure and reliable. Day‑to‑day duties involve designing, implementing and maintaining Azure infrastructure and services, writing and troubleshooting Bicep code, and extending automation with PowerShell, Python and Ansible. The engineer will support monitoring, resolve incidents, continuously improve the platform, and work closely with engineering and application teams to onboard new business applications. Ownership of technical workstreams and promotion of cloud‑engineering best practices are also expected. The candidate must have at least three years of hands‑on experience creating Azure Infrastructure as Code with Bicep, with four or more years preferred, and be actively using Bicep in daily work. They need to be able to write, understand, modify and debug Bicep for production, possess deep knowledge of Azure subscriptions and resource configurations, and have proven experience as an Azure Cloud or Infrastructure Engineer. Practical experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, as well as PowerShell, Python and Ansible automation, is required, together with strong familiarity with both Windows and Linux environments, Azure networking and hybrid cloud setups, and excellent troubleshooting skills. The role expects the engineer to start contributing with minimal onboarding. The position is a full‑time (100 %) assignment, and the employer emphasizes that only solid Bicep expertise satisfies the technical needs; experience with other IaC tools does not replace this requirement. What the role asks for: - Minimum 3 years hands‑on Azure IaC using Bicep (4 + years preferred) - Active daily work on Azure infrastructure with Bicep - Ability to write, modify and troubleshoot production Bicep code - Deep knowledge of Azure subscriptions, resources and dependencies - Proven Azure Cloud Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer experience - Hands‑on Azure DevOps pipeline and deployment experience - Practical PowerShell, Python and Ansible automation skills - Strong Windows and Linux environment expertise
