Senior AI Platform Engineer

The Senior AI Platform Engineer role involves working on FrontiersOS, a platform that integrates AI agents into existing systems like the Publishing Platform, data warehouse, Salesforce, and Microsoft 365. The goal is to enhance productivity by automating repetitive tasks, allowing humans to focus on strategic and relational work. The main day-to-day responsibilities include owning major areas of FrontiersOS end-to-end, setting architecture and technical roadmaps, and building and operating these areas across various components. This role requires architecting for reliability and scale, defining Service Level Objectives (SLOs), building observability, and participating in incident response. Security and governance are integral, involving permissions, credential handling, data access boundaries, and audit trails. The engineer will also lead code and design reviews, write clear design documents, and help teammates grow. Additionally, the role involves building for self-service, enabling business users to create their own agents and automations, and using AI-assisted development as part of the workflow. To qualify for this role, candidates must have 10+ years of engineering experience with strong backend and infrastructure fundamentals. This includes solid system design skills, writing well-structured code, and following sound software design principles. Proficiency in systems thinking is essential, as is the ability to reason about how changes ripple across agents, workflows, permissions, and downstream consumers. Daily work with AI is a must, including using AI coding agents for planning, building, and debugging. The role requires the judgment to know when AI-generated output needs a closer look. Nice-to-have skills include being a proficient cross-department communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. A genuine curiosity about AI and a proven track record of building AI-related projects is also valuable. The role requires strong stakeholder management skills, translating technical trade-offs into actionable terms for stakeholders.
