Climeworks is a pioneering climate‑tech company that captures carbon dioxide directly from the air and sells it for permanent removal. The Legal Counsel will join a forward‑thinking in‑house legal team that serves every part of the business, helping to shape the legal framework that enables the company's net‑zero mission. On a daily basis the role blends advisory, transactional and operational work. You will provide pragmatic legal advice across the group, draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts, and act as the go‑to expert on corporate law issues. The position also involves handling commercial partnership matters, coordinating external counsel, and building cost‑effective, scalable legal processes. Aligning the legal function with the needs of internal client groups is a core part of the job. The employer requires a qualified lawyer who has a solid track record in corporate law, finance and commercial contracts. Fluency in written and spoken English at a business level is essential, as is the ability to be present in the Opfikon office at least three days each week. Candidates must thrive in a fast‑moving, often‑changing international environment and demonstrate strong financial literacy combined with a business‑oriented mindset. Additional assets include German language skills and prior experience in areas such as employment law, technology transactions, public policy or project finance.
