BA/SME Databricks - 80-100% - Finance Transformation, temporary 31.12.2027

The position is a Business Analyst / Subject‑Matter Expert for Databricks within Zurich's Finance Transformation programme. In this role you will partner with Group Finance, business‑unit finance teams and the data‑analytics community to discover and shape use cases for Databricks, such as data pipelines, advanced analytics and scenario modelling. You will translate business needs into functional specifications, decide which solutions belong on Databricks versus other platforms, document finance‑related processes, help define the operating model, build business cases, draft user stories and acceptance criteria, and coordinate user‑acceptance testing while ensuring alignment with the overall finance technology architecture. The ideal candidate has worked as a business analyst or finance‑focused SME on data or analytics projects and possesses a solid grasp of finance and group‑finance processes. You must be adept at collecting and documenting requirements, have hands‑on experience with data platforms and be familiar with concepts like pipelines, data modelling and analytics. Collaboration with IT or data‑engineering groups on joint solutions, the ability to evaluate alternatives, construct clear business cases and define test parameters are essential. A structured, analytical mindset, talent for simplifying complex ideas for non‑technical stakeholders and a strong "one‑team" attitude are required, as is fluency in written and spoken English.
