MES & Data Consultant – Pre-Sales

AG Solution seeks a MES & Data Consultant to act as the technical and commercial liaison for manufacturers in Wallonia, France and French‑speaking Switzerland. The role blends expertise in manufacturing execution systems and data handling with the ability to earn prospects’ confidence before any code is written, then guide them to successful adoption. Each day is split roughly between pre‑sales activities and solution delivery. In the first half you join early sales calls, translate operational challenges into credible MES or data‑platform narratives, build business cases that quantify gains in tracking, OEE, scheduling or quality, and contribute to proposals, RFPs and scoping documents. You also run discovery workshops, prepare demos or proof‑of‑concepts, and answer technical “how” questions on the spot. After a deal closes you design functional specifications, map processes and data flows, support configuration, testing and deployment with multidisciplinary teams, coach clients on digital‑transformation road‑maps, train end‑users and monitor KPIs to demonstrate impact and refine the solution. The essential profile includes strong commercial instincts – comfortable with discovery conversations, business‑case ownership and handling prospect objections – and solid technical background. Candidates must have hands‑on experience with MES platforms such as Siemens Opcenter, Werum PAS‑X, Rockwell FTPC, Ignition, Aveva or TrakSYS, and a good grasp of manufacturing processes in sectors like pharma, food, chemicals, consumer goods or discrete production. They should understand data exchanges between MES, PLC/SCADA and ERP/LIMS, possess a functional‑technical mindset, communicate fluently in both French and English, and be able to explain concepts to both executives and shop‑floor operators. Additional assets are prior involvement in bids, RFPs or solution scoping, direct experience in MES implementation projects, knowledge of industrial IT/OT fundamentals and practical work with PLC/SCADA engineering.
