Study Director - Analytical department

Eurofins Agroscience Group, a leading European contract research organisation, designs and executes field and laboratory investigations to assess the safety and efficacy of new substances such as microbials, agro‑chemicals, pharmaceuticals and industrial chemicals for humans and the environment. The Study Director in the Analytical department oversees analytical components of aquatic ecotoxicology projects that follow OECD guidelines, directs residue analysis of water and sediment samples, and leads the determination of physicochemical properties like water solubility and log Pow. Day‑to‑day duties involve steering analytical studies, creating and validating methods, interpreting results and preparing reports, and maintaining communication with both internal colleagues and external clients. The role also includes supervising a small team of laboratory technicians and ensuring that all work complies with Good Laboratory Practice standards. Candidates must hold a Master’s or PhD in chemistry with a strong emphasis on analytical chemistry, and possess solid professional experience in this field. Proficiency in chromatographic techniques such as HPLC, GC and HPLC/MS, as well as expertise in sample preparation and trace‑level analysis, is required. A thorough grasp of chemical environmental behaviour, preferably under GLP conditions, is essential. Applicants should be organized, adaptable to varying tasks and schedules, work well in a team, speak English fluently in both written and spoken form, and be able to communicate verbally in German.
