Consultant - People Advisory Services - Tax Payroll (Zürich)

EY is seeking a Consultant for its People Advisory Services Payroll team in Zürich. As part of a market‑leading tax practice, the role sits within a department that helps globally active clients optimise their business and legal structures, while delivering high‑quality payroll and HR administration. Day‑to‑day duties involve assisting both domestic and cross‑border clients with payroll processing and related HR tasks, handling payroll accounting, and acting as a liaison with tax authorities and social‑security bodies. The consultant will work closely with near‑shore and offshore colleagues to ensure monthly payroll cycles are completed on schedule, and will also take part in business‑development activities such as client outreach and networking. From the start, the position includes participation in internal and external projects that broaden technical, industry and functional knowledge. The essential qualifications include a finished commercial apprenticeship, a clear interest in payroll, and one to two years of hands‑on experience in payroll and social‑security or employment‑tax matters. Candidates must be fluent in English and German; additional French or Italian skills are considered beneficial. Proficiency with MS Office is required, and familiarity with ABACUS or SAP is advantageous.
