The ability to critically evaluate emerging scientific evidence and translate findings into actionable medical and business strategies is also important. The role offers the opportunity to work in a highly matrixed organization, collaborating with various teams to advance scientific understanding and improve patient outcomes. The location and team dynamics are not specified, but the role emphasizes the importance of building trusted relationships with global stakeholders and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and ethical guidelines. What the role asks for: - An advanced scientific or clinical degree (e.g. MD, MB BCh BAO, MBBS, MBChB, Dr. med., PharmD, PhD) or an equivalent qualification. - Extensive experience in Medical Affairs, including leadership roles on a national, regional or global level. - Previous experience as Medical Director, Senior Medical Director, Regional Medical Director or an equivalent scientific leadership role. - Experience in Neurology, Pediatrics or neuromuscular diseases. - Knowledge and experience in DMD, FSHD, DM1, SMA or other rare neurological diseases. - Experience in supporting clinical development programs and strong understanding of the design of clinical studies, the conduct of studies, the engagement of investigators and the interpretation of scientific data.
