Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)

MF Group, a subsidiary of Riverty within the Bertelsmann family, employs roughly 120 people across two Swiss sites to simplify invoice‑based buying and flexible payment plans for retailers. The firm blends credit assessment, fraud control, invoicing and pre‑financing into a full‑stack offering, serving most major brick‑and‑mortar and online merchants in Switzerland while also providing cash loans and payment cards to private customers. As a Cloud Engineer (m/f/d) stationed in Chiasso, you will join the Cloud & Infrastructure squad and be instrumental in shaping, moving and running cloud services on Microsoft Azure. Your routine will involve assisting the transfer of applications and databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL to Azure, helping to design and manage container workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service, and automating infrastructure with tools like Terraform. You will also take part in monitoring, performance tuning and ensuring the platform remains stable and scalable, while contributing to documentation and best‑practice guidelines. The position requires a university degree in Computer Science or a comparable technical discipline, or equivalent hands‑on experience, together with up to three years of exposure to cloud engineering, preferably on Azure. Familiarity with Azure components, Kubernetes/AKS and relational databases is essential, as is a willingness to learn how to operate production‑grade cloud environments. Basic awareness of security, data‑privacy and compliance matters such as GDPR is advantageous, and strong interpersonal abilities are needed to collaborate effectively within the team. The role offers a permanent, full‑time contract with flexible working arrangements. Being part of a fast‑growing payments specialist, you will help modernise critical infrastructure and gain experience across a diverse set of retail payment solutions, all while working in a collaborative environment located in the southern Swiss town of Chiasso.
