The role is for a Team Assistant, Growth - Working Student (40%) at MDPI, a leading open-access publisher based in Switzerland. The assistant will support the Growth team in the DACH region, aiding in the coordination and implementation of regional growth initiatives to enhance MDPI's visibility and engagement with universities, researchers, and academic organizations. The main day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating and tracking regional growth initiatives and digital activities, conducting desk research on universities, research institutions, conferences, competitors, and market trends, and preparing summaries and overviews. The assistant will also maintain trackers, overviews, and simple reports on regional activities, timelines, and outcomes. Additionally, the role involves supporting the preparation and coordination of region-specific digital content, assisting with local and country-specific activities, and performing coordinative and administrative tasks such as scheduling, meeting notes, and file maintenance. To qualify for this role, candidates must be currently enrolled in a university or higher education institution, preferably pursuing a Bachelor's degree in fields such as Business Administration, Communication, Marketing, Publishing, or International Relations. Fluency in English (C1) and German (C1) is required. Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools for document management is also essential. Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset are crucial. Nice-to-have skills include a keen interest in academic publishing and a willingness to work in a dynamic, international team environment.
