Group Tax Director

Kanadevia Inova is a worldwide innovator in waste‑infrastructure, turning discarded material into valuable outputs such as energy, heat, hydrogen and fertilizer through its waste‑to‑X technologies. As Group Tax Director you will steer the global tax function, shaping its strategy, roadmap, operating model and risk framework while advising the CFO, Deputy CFO and senior leaders on major tax risks, opportunities and strategic decisions. Your daily work will involve constructing a scalable, well‑governed tax operating model that spans headquarters, the shared service centre and the broader group. You will lead the tax team, clarify responsibilities, foster collaboration and build lasting capabilities. The role also covers oversight of compliance and reporting across corporate, indirect, transfer‑pricing and Pillar Two taxes, handling material tax positions, audits and controversies, and maintaining relationships with tax authorities, auditors and external advisers. In addition, you will provide tax guidance on large EPC projects, financing deals, mergers and acquisitions, post‑merger integration and cross‑border restructurings, while driving transformation through governance, controls, KPIs, technology, data automation and ERP solutions. The position requires a degree in Tax, Law, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline, with a recognised tax or legal qualification preferred. Candidates typically bring more than fifteen years of senior international tax experience in a complex multinational setting, proven leadership of a Group Tax function, and deep knowledge of international and Swiss corporate tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax, tax reporting and Pillar Two. Experience with M&A, tax controversy and cross‑border activities is essential, and a background in engineering, construction, manufacturing, energy or project‑based environments is advantageous. Fluency in English is mandatory, while German is a strong plus.
