The role of a Sales Consultant Surgery, Biosurgery at Johnson & Johnson involves working within the Surgery business unit, focusing on advancing surgical outcomes in the rapidly evolving field of MedTech. The main day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities to achieve sales targets within the Biosurgery portfolio. This involves providing comprehensive support to hospitals, including product consultation and application in surgery. The role also entails introducing new product innovations, planning and facilitating workshops and training sessions for healthcare professionals, and developing long-term relationships with key stakeholders such as surgeons, OR staff, and purchasing managers. Additionally, the role requires ensuring high-quality clinical and technical support during product use and increasing customer satisfaction through strong partnerships and service excellence. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a university degree and at least two years of sales experience, preferably within medical devices or a clinical environment. Specific experience in orthopaedics, spine, neuro, CV, and/or surgery is required. Fluency in German and English is essential, along with strong customer orientation, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in MS Office. The role demands a self-driven, solution-oriented professional with an entrepreneurial mindset and familiarity with hospital procurement processes and clinical workflows. Nice-to-have skills include a passion for improving patient outcomes and supporting clinical excellence, strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and resilience in a fast-paced, field-based environment. Confidence in technical product knowledge and consultative sales approaches, as well as a proactive mindset and commitment to continuous learning, are also valued.
