To qualify for this role, candidates must have a Juris Doctor (JD), LLM, or other advanced legal degree, along with 12+ years of privacy legal or compliance experience, including significant experience in regulated life sciences settings. Experience serving as a DPO or in an equivalent independent oversight capacity for GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss FADP, or comparable privacy regimes is required. A deep understanding of GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss FADP, international data transfer requirements, and global privacy regulations is also necessary. Additionally, strong privacy governance and risk management experience, as well as the ability to lead complex privacy initiatives across international organizations, is essential. Nice-to-have skills include privacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, AIGP, or similar credentials, experience interacting directly with European data protection authorities and regulators, and experience leading multinational privacy teams or global privacy programs. The role is based in Zug, Switzerland, with options for candidates based in Madrid, Spain, or Maidenhead, UK. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and the opportunity to work with a global life sciences organization.
