The QHSE Industrial Director BU Power Grid Central Europe role is within Nexans, a company focused on industrial activities, particularly in the power grid sector. The main day-to-day responsibilities include defining and deploying the Business Unit's Industrial, Technical, QHSE, and Digital Roadmap. This involves improving safety, quality, productivity, and operational excellence through standardized methodologies and governance. The role also entails leading strategic CAPEX programs, industrial transformation projects, and footprint optimization initiatives. Additionally, the director will promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with Group policies, and accelerate continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing and digitalization. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field, along with 15+ years of experience in industrial and operations leadership. A strong track record in Operational Excellence and Lean Manufacturing is essential, as is experience leading international teams in a matrix environment. Proven success in delivering industrial transformation and CAPEX projects, hands-on manufacturing and engineering experience, and broad exposure to industrial technologies and processes are also required. Fluency in English and strong stakeholder management skills are must-haves. Nice-to-have skills include the ability to coordinate with various departments such as BG Engineering, Marketing, and Group Innovation to support product, process, and technology development.
