Senior Consultant/ Manager - IT M&A, Technology Strategy & Transformation

The position of Senior Consultant/Manager – IT M&A, Technology Strategy & Transformation is based in Zurich and sits within a firm that assists clients in tackling the most demanding IT issues that arise during mergers and acquisitions. The team guides organisations from the moment a deal closes, through the critical “Day 100” milestone and onward, helping them capture technology‑related value while mitigating associated risks. On a daily basis you will be involved in complex M&A assignments, either as part of a larger group or as a lead advisor on smaller engagements. Your work will span acquisitions, divestitures, carve‑outs and restructuring efforts across sectors such as life sciences, financial services, industrials and consumer products. You will collaborate with international colleagues, contribute to business‑development and marketing initiatives, and help expand the practice by linking with other offices and member firms beyond Switzerland. The role requires a university degree and three to five years of relevant experience in consulting or a corporate setting, together with a solid grasp of the M&A lifecycle and the specific role of IT from closing to post‑deal phases. Candidates must have demonstrated competence in at least two of the following: leading IT separation or integration programmes, specialised IT domains such as ERP design, enterprise architecture or service management, planning and executing Day 100/Day 2 technology readiness, preparing executive‑level reporting and dashboards, drafting detailed technical blueprints, creating migration or transition plans, defining TSA exit strategies and costs, or operating a technology PMO.
