The Consultation Design Consultant will support Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) International on the Access 101 Project, a new learning initiative that aims to improve understanding of health‑product access across the MSF Movement. MSF is a global, independent medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid and works to remove barriers to medicines, diagnostics, vaccines and other health products. The consultant's daily work will involve creating a consultation methodology, preparing interview guides, surveys and data‑collection tools, and then carrying out mixed‑methods research with a wide range of MSF staff and partners. Findings will be analysed to pinpoint learning needs, knowledge gaps and audience preferences, after which a concise report with actionable recommendations will be drafted and presented to the project team. The insights will also be turned into a proposed syllabus for the Access 101 course on Tembo, including suggested learning objectives, thematic modules and suitable formats for e‑learning and regional workshops. The role is a short‑term consultancy of roughly 20‑25 working days spread between October 2026 and January 2027. It is fully remote, allowing the consultant to work from their home base while reporting to the Change and Innovation Communication Officer I. The assignment is funded by the MSF Access Fund and forms part of a broader effort to embed access‑related knowledge throughout the organisation. Ideal candidates will be comfortable designing and executing inclusive consultation processes that respect diversity, equity and inclusion principles. Experience with qualitative and quantitative research, stakeholder interviews and focus‑group facilitation is valuable, as is the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable learning recommendations. The position offers the chance to influence a global training programme and to collaborate with MSF teams in five regional hubs. What the role asks for: - Right to work as a consultant in country of residence - Availability for 20‑25 working days Oct 2026‑Jan 2027 - Nice‑to‑have: experience with mixed‑methods research - Nice‑to‑have: ability to produce concise analytical reports - Nice‑to‑have: familiarity with e‑learning design principles
