Director CIO Advisory Middle Markets

PwC Consulting is expanding its footprint in the middle‑market and family‑business arena, complementing its work with large multinational corporations. The firm seeks a Director / Partner to head Technology Strategy & Transformation and CIO Advisory services for this segment. In this position you will steer technology‑strategy and transformation programmes for middle‑market clients, collaborating directly with senior technology leaders. You will devise digital roadmaps, shape business models and deliver high‑quality solutions covering strategy, organisational design, operating‑model assessments and related topics. The role also involves sourcing new projects, nurturing client relationships and helping evolve the Technology Strategy & Transformation advisory offering. Coaching and developing team members forms a core part of the job. The candidate must have built a solid consulting career and possess strong methodological and technical capabilities. A scientific, technical or economics background is required, together with a proven track record of leading strategic technology or transformation initiatives. Mastery of recognised frameworks such as TOGAF, COBIT, SAFe, IPMA, PRINCE and SCRUM is essential. Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written, is mandatory; French is an added advantage. Experience in leading and coaching staff is also expected, as is a personality that combines commitment, strong communication, flexibility and resilience.
