(Senior) Consultant - EY Parthenon, Financial Services - M&A Advisory

The position is for a (Senior) Consultant in EY Parthenon's Financial Services, M&A Advisory team. EY is a worldwide professional‑services firm that helps clients build a better working world. Within the Transactions Corporate Finance (TCF) practice, the role sits at the crossroads of corporate finance and merger‑and‑acquisition work, focusing on advisory, transaction diligence and valuation modelling. On a daily basis you will prepare and review client‑facing materials such as information memoranda, teasers, process documents and management presentations. You will build and assess financial models, apply valuation techniques like market multiples, precedent transactions and discounted cash‑flow analysis, and support deals from origination through closing. The job also involves conducting industry and market research, creating target‑identification and buyer‑screening lists, coordinating due‑diligence activities, summarising findings into actionable recommendations, and contributing to business‑development efforts such as pitch and proposal preparation. Multiple workstreams are handled concurrently while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high‑quality output. The employer requires a Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a closely related discipline, together with a strong academic record. Candidates must have between two and four years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate finance, investment banking, deal advisory or private‑equity environments, and must have taken responsibility for transaction execution, financial analysis and stakeholder interaction. Fluency in written English and spoken German is essential, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are expected. The role also demands proven analytical and problem‑solving capabilities and the capacity to manage several projects at once.
