Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer

Hapimag AG runs a shared‑ownership network of vacation properties, overseeing fifty‑six resorts and more than five thousand rentals across Europe’s coastal, alpine and urban destinations. The Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer will be responsible for administering both physical and virtual machines, including Proxmox platforms, and for maintaining Microsoft core services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and group policies. Daily duties also involve tuning and supporting Microsoft SQL cluster performance, acting as the final escalation point for intricate on‑premises and Google Cloud issues, and establishing proactive monitoring and alerting. The role requires designing hardened network layouts with firewalls, load balancers, virtual private clouds and routing schemes, as well as overseeing the internal certificate authority and the full lifecycle of SSL/TLS certificates. Additionally, the engineer will draft technical standards, keep documentation up to date, participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation and travel to resort sites when needed. Candidates must hold a university degree in computer science, engineering or a comparable vocational qualification, and bring at least five years of hands‑on experience in cloud, infrastructure or security environments. A solid technical foundation in the mentioned areas, a problem‑solving attitude, a collaborative spirit and fluency in German and English are essential. Extra background in software development or relevant certifications is considered advantageous.
