The role is a 2027 Corporate Finance Internship based in Zurich, lasting 4 to 6 months starting in March 2027. Houlihan Lokey, Inc. (NYSE:HLI) is a global investment bank known for providing strategic and financial advice to corporations, financial sponsors, and governments. The company specializes in mergers and acquisitions, capital solutions, financial restructuring, and financial and valuation advisory services. The main day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of pitch and client materials, conducting market, industry, and company analyses, and gaining experience in financial modeling and valuation analyses. Interns will also support due diligence processes and work on live transactions as part of a project team. This role offers exposure similar to that of a first-year Analyst, focusing on the consumer and healthcare sectors. To qualify, candidates must be in their penultimate or final year of a bachelor's or master's degree, or already graduated, with a strong academic record. A degree in accounting, economics, or finance is preferred. Fluency in both German and English is required, with additional language skills being advantageous. Previous internship experience in M&A advisory or related fields is necessary, along with a solid understanding of valuation theory and methodologies. Nice-to-have skills include international experience, though it is not essential. The role is based in Zurich, and the team environment is described as rapidly changing and demanding but ultimately rewarding. The company values motivated individuals who can work cooperatively with all levels of staff.
