Associate Director, Biostatistics

Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, a global leader in gastrointestinal health, develops treatments such as LINZESS® for irritable bowel syndrome with constipation and is advancing apraglutide for rare GI disorders. The Associate Director, Biostatistics will provide strategic, methodological, and operational statistical leadership to generate value across the company’s drug development programs. In this hybrid role based in Basel, Switzerland, the incumbent will act as the primary statistical representative for assigned clinical studies, guiding study design, protocol development, sample‑size determination, power calculations, randomization schemes, and the creation of statistical analysis plans. They will also oversee the generation of clinical study reports, support regulatory interactions, and contribute to business development activities. Additional duties include staying current with regulatory guidance, developing standard operating procedures, delivering training, evaluating and implementing innovative statistical methods, and managing external vendors and CROs to ensure high‑quality, timely, and compliant deliverables.
