Global Associate Director, Patient Strategy & Partnerships

Abbott’s Branded Generics division delivers reliable medicines to more than 18 million individuals each day across emerging markets such as Latin America, Asia‑Pacific and India. The Global Associate Director, Patient Strategy & Partnerships will lead efforts to amplify the patient voice throughout the company, forging collaborations that enhance care experiences and outcomes on a worldwide scale. In this position you will design and advance a patient‑focused engagement plan that weaves patient insights into decisions made by Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Public Affairs and commercial teams. You will cultivate long‑term relationships with advocacy groups and patient leaders, creating joint initiatives around education, support and evidence generation. Your work will turn real‑world patient feedback into actionable recommendations, guide policy and access discussions, and help embed patient‑centric thinking across the organization. Representing Abbott at industry gatherings and advocacy forums, you will also develop tools, guidelines and best‑practice models to raise the overall capability for patient partnership. The role requires at least five years of direct experience in patient engagement and a decade of senior leadership within Medical Affairs, Market Access, Public Affairs, advocacy or comparable health‑care fields. A solid background in oncology, biologics or biosimilars, health‑policy, health‑technology assessment and external stakeholder interaction is essential, as is a proven ability to influence complex, global structures. Strong storytelling, facilitation and executive‑level presentation skills are mandatory, together with fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous. Preferred qualifications include deeper exposure to oncology, biosimilars, health policy or advocacy work.
