Senior Platform Engineer - Microsoft Power Platform & SharePoint Online

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to take ownership of the Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint Online environments, alongside the broader Microsoft 365 suite. The role sits within a team that delivers reliable cloud services, establishes governance standards and supports the migration of legacy solutions for a multinational organisation. On a daily basis you will run the operational side of Power Platform, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams and Exchange Online – handling monitoring, incident response, service requests, updates and access control. You will set up and run a Power Platform Centre of Excellence, defining policies, templates and adoption metrics, while also shaping the platform’s target operating model with clear roles, processes and controls. Security design is a core part of the job, covering permissions, identity management, data protection and loss‑prevention, using Microsoft Purview where appropriate. Close collaboration with developers will be required to agree on engineering standards, review solutions and promote best practices in testing and release. You will also lead SharePoint site migrations and move legacy workflows to Power Automate, keeping stakeholders informed and minimizing disruption. Coaching developers and business users on reusable components, naming conventions and maintainable design, as well as driving automation and continuous service improvement, rounds out the responsibilities. The position demands extensive hands‑on experience with the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) and proven use of a Power Platform Centre of Excellence for governance and adoption. Deep SharePoint Online knowledge – from site design to permissions, information architecture and migration – is essential, as is a track record of moving legacy workflows to Power Automate. You must be comfortable supporting everyday Microsoft 365 operations across SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and Exchange, and have a solid grasp of M365 security, identity and access management, data protection, retention and DLP, including practical use of Microsoft Purview. The ability to produce clear technical designs and documentation, strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, and a collaborative yet independent work style in a multicultural setting are also required.
