As an Azure Cloud Engineer at Deloitte, you will join a globally recognised professional services firm that delivers audit, consulting, financial advisory, risk and tax solutions. The position is based in Switzerland and focuses on a distinctive dual‑cloud landscape that includes the sovereign "Sovereign Cloud Switzerland" platform together with Deloitte's regional Azure workloads. Your work will directly support the firm's ambition to modernise and automate cloud operations while leveraging the breadth of resources available across the Deloitte network. In this role you will be responsible for shaping and operating the technical side of the cloud team in Switzerland. Daily tasks involve constructing and sustaining the core cloud platform, extending Azure‑based solutions to fulfil business demands, and sharing best‑practice insights with international colleagues. You will design and maintain automation pipelines that deploy both platform and application workloads, handle technical escalations that arise in cloud services, and continuously scout for new tools or practices that can enhance the environment. Collaboration with business units will be essential to integrate fresh applications smoothly and improve overall efficiency. The employer expects a set of core qualifications. Strong communication abilities are required so you can proactively engage with stakeholders and provide expert guidance. You must hold the Azure Administrator Associate certification (AZ‑104) and the Azure DevOps Expert certification (AZ‑400). Proven experience with infrastructure‑as‑code and provisioning tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Bicep, Bash, PowerShell, Python and C# is mandatory. You need solid knowledge of configuring and managing both Windows and Linux systems, as well as hands‑on experience with Azure and on‑premises infrastructure components, including databases, Active Directory, DNS, firewalls and networking. Familiarity with agile development tools and methodologies is also a prerequisite. Beyond the essential criteria, the posting highlights several advantageous attributes. Additional certifications in cloud architecture, system administration or software development are considered valuable. A deeper expertise in Windows and Linux environments, as well as an interest in applying emerging AI technologies to automate cloud processes, would further strengthen your profile. The team you will join is an established and expanding DevOps group that bridges business and IT, operating in a flexible hybrid setting with wellbeing and parental support programmes, and offering ample opportunities for learning and career growth within Deloitte's Swiss locations. What the role asks for: - Excellent communication skills - Azure Admin Associate (AZ-104) certification - Azure DevOps Expert (AZ-400) certification - Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Bicep, Bash, PowerShell, Python, C# - Knowledge of Windows and Linux environment configuration - Experience with Azure and on‑premises infrastructure (databases, AD, DNS, firewalls, networking) - Familiarity with agile development tools and methodologies - Nice-to-have: additional cloud architecture or development certification
