As a Senior Consultant / Assistant Manager in the Swiss payroll advisory unit, you will join a specialist group that delivers end‑to‑end payroll solutions and strategic guidance, helping clients stay compliant and turn payroll into a competitive edge. In this role you will act as the primary point of contact for clients, shaping the scope of projects and overseeing delivery from start to finish. You will provide specialist advice on compensation and payroll matters, nurture trusted relationships, and identify opportunities to broaden the payroll portfolio. Mentoring junior staff, sharing best practices, and proposing innovative service‑delivery ideas are also core parts of the daily work. You must hold either a fiduciary‑services qualification or a university degree in Business Administration, Economics or a comparable field, complemented by additional training in HR, payroll or tax. Fluency in English is essential, together with native‑level proficiency in French or German; any extra language ability is viewed as a plus. Proficiency with the payroll accounting tools Abacus and SAP is expected, and you should be comfortable working at an 80 %, 100 % capacity. You will become part of a diverse, multinational team of more than thirty professionals spread across Deloitte's Zurich and Geneva offices. The environment emphasizes continuous learning, offering formal training, mentoring programmes and on‑the‑job development. The role is positioned within a strategic growth area for the firm, promising exposure to both national and cross‑border payroll cycles, a competitive remuneration package and the chance to contribute to technology‑driven projects. What the role asks for: - 2–5 years payroll/compensation experience - Qualification in fiduciary services or Business Administration/Economics degree - Excellent command of English - Fluency in French or German - Knowledge of Abacus and SAP payroll systems - Work pattern of 80 %, 100 % capacity - Additional language skills (nice-to-have) - High affinity for AI and technology (nice-to-have)
