Geographic Information System (GIS) Mapper

Terry Soot Management Group (TSMG) is a field‑data collection firm founded in 2017 in Europe. The company gathers information that cannot be captured by automation, counting features, taking photos, recording video and speech, and scanning environments to support better decision‑making. Its teams operate across Europe and North America. The GIS Mapper will join this effort to support a project that captures street‑level imagery for one of the world's most widely used online maps. The mapper will drive a vehicle equipped with a 360° camera, follow pre‑defined routes through public streets, commercial districts and historic sites, and ensure high‑quality images are stored on the onboard computer. Because weather can affect image clarity, the same locations may need to be revisited. The assignment runs for at least eight months, covering multiple city and state zones. The role requires a candidate who enjoys driving, knows the local area and traffic patterns, and demonstrates strong responsibility and reliability. Work is scheduled Monday‑Friday, eight hours per day (40 h weekly), with the option to extend hours if desired. TSMG's field teams are distributed across Europe and North America, allowing the mapper to collaborate with colleagues in different regions while operating in varied urban environments. What the role asks for: - Enjoys driving - Good knowledge of local area - Understanding of traffic trends - Highly responsible and reliable - Available Monday‑Friday, 8 h per day - Willing to work additional hours (nice‑to‑have)
