International Brands is a rapidly expanding Swiss company specializing in the Personal Care and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. The company brings products to tens of thousands of retail locations globally, including drugstores, leading retail chains, and e-commerce platforms. The role of Art Director at International Brands involves more than just traditional design; it requires a creative mind to drive the entire brand strategy. The focus is on creating brands that are not only visually appealing but also perform well in the market, capturing consumer attention and driving sales. The main responsibilities of the Art Director include developing and executing creative concepts across all brands, with a strong emphasis on visibility, recognition, and impact. This involves building and continuously evolving strong brand worlds with a consistent visual identity. The role also includes challenging existing approaches, designing packaging that is attention-grabbing and built to convert at the shelf, and developing web, social, and marketing assets focused on performance. The Art Director will lead projects independently from idea to market-ready product, manage freelancers and external partners, and work closely with the Head of Brands and the broader team. Additionally, the role requires leveraging AI and modern tools to improve workflows and creative output. To excel in this role, candidates must have 2–5+ years of experience in a creative role, such as Design or Art Direction. A strong portfolio showcasing real FMCG or retail work and proven execution is essential. Proficiency in Figma, with experience in UI and web design, is required. Experience across packaging, social media, web, and print is also necessary. A deep understanding of FMCG design, retail, and consumer behavior is crucial. Candidates should be independent, hands-on, fast, and solution-oriented, with a focus on impact, performance, and results. They should take initiative, drive projects forward, and use AI as a practical tool in their daily creative workflow. Fluency in German and English is required. Nice-to-have skills include a genuine interest in FMCG, retail, and market-driven design. The role offers direct collaboration with the Head of Brands, real impact on brands and products, and fast decision-making processes. The team values high ownership and the opportunity to build and shape things meaningfully. The location and team dynamics are not specified, but the role promises a dynamic and impactful environment. What the role asks for: - 2–5+ years of experience in a creative role (Design, Art Direction or similar) - Strong portfolio with real FMCG or retail work and proven execution - Very strong Figma skills with experience in UI and Web - Experience in packaging, social media, web and print - Deep knowledge in FMCG design, retail and consumer behavior - German and English - Use of AI as a practical tool in daily creative workflow
