Relationship Manager - External Asset Managers (EAM)

Within its External Asset Managers (EAM) Business Line, the Relationship Manager role is tasked with overseeing and expanding a portfolio of external asset managers and the business relationships that flow from them. On a daily basis the manager acts as the primary liaison for assigned EAM clients, nurturing strong, long‑term connections with key decision‑makers. Responsibilities include understanding each client's business model and growth potential, spotting opportunities to increase assets under management, trading activity, and product uptake, and tracking the financial contribution of each relationship. The role also involves regular client meetings, thorough documentation of follow‑up actions, coordinating onboarding and lifecycle events with support, compliance and other internal teams, and ensuring timely completion of KYC, AML and governance reviews. In addition, the manager prepares pricing proposals, flags operational or reputational risks, resolves escalations, and works closely with Business Development, Trading, Product and Operations to deliver an integrated institutional service while contributing to broader EAM initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. The position requires several years of experience in relationship management, client advisory or a comparable function within banking or financial services. Candidates must possess a solid grasp of the external asset manager and independent wealth‑management landscape, as well as practical knowledge of securities, trading, custody, foreign‑exchange and institutional banking services. A strong client‑centric attitude paired with a commercial mindset is essential, together with the ability to independently manage a portfolio and juggle multiple requests. Familiarity with KYC, AML and client‑governance requirements, along with excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving abilities, is also mandatory. Fluency in French (native‑level) and professional proficiency in English are required, while German language skills are considered a valuable addition.
