The company is looking for a Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer to join their team in Zurich, Lausanne, or Geneva. The main day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring the production environment is always up and running efficiently. This involves supporting services in production, testing, and development environments, guaranteeing availability, efficiency, monitoring, alerting, resilience, and on-call support. The role also involves contributing to the design, implementation, and management of cost-effective, large-scale infrastructure systems, including cloud services, networking, and storage solutions. To qualify for this role, candidates must have 2-3 years of hands-on experience in operating services, ideally in demanding environments. Familiarity with SRE principles and practices, including automation, monitoring, and incident management, is essential. Additionally, candidates should have hands-on exposure to modern DevOps tooling such as Linux, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Python, YAML, and Shell. Experience with DevOps build and testing processes, release management, and product lifecycle management is also required. The ability to deploy and operate solutions and integrate them into existing production environments, with support from senior team members on more complex work, is crucial. Some experience with database manipulation (SQL) and software development in Go, Java, or Python is also necessary. Nice-to-have skills include a willingness to deepen expertise in SRE principles and practices.
