BASEL OFFICE - Executive Director FP&A and Process Innovation

Viking, a publicly traded company (NYSE VIK) that designs immersive travel experiences across rivers, oceans and continents, is looking for an Executive Director FP&A and Process Innovation to join its European headquarters in Basel. The role sits within the finance function and reports directly to the Vice President Ocean Accounting, supporting the company’s rapid growth by turning financial data into strategic guidance. In this position you will oversee a compact team of senior analysts, steering both short‑term and long‑range budgeting and forecasting work. You will spearhead projects that embed artificial‑intelligence tools into the planning workflow, act as the senior AI adviser for finance leaders, and continuously refine the planning process to improve efficiency and uncover cost‑saving opportunities. Delivering market‑trend insights and partnering with business units to produce accurate forecasts based on solid assumptions are also core duties. Candidates must bring ten to fifteen years of relevant experience, with at least five years focused on financial planning and analysis and a proven record of digital or AI‑related initiatives. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people, translate financial levers into actionable recommendations, and manage complex projects is essential. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or economics is required, along with fluent English communication and a meticulous, results‑driven mindset.
