Platform Engineer

DeepJudge, a Swiss AI and ICT scale‑up founded by ex‑Google engineers and AI PhDs from ETH Zurich, builds an intelligence layer that unlocks legal knowledge for law firms and corporate legal departments. The company’s enterprise search and AI infrastructure let clients turn years of precedent and work product into instantly searchable, actionable insight, serving top firms such as Freshfields and Holland & Knight. As a Platform Engineer you will own and evolve the build pipelines, continuous‑integration systems, testing frameworks and internal developer tools that keep the engineering organization productive and secure. The role involves keeping these critical processes stable, spotting repetitive pain points for fellow engineers, and delivering automated solutions to eliminate them. You will also manage vulnerability and dependency oversight, review code for quality, and help maintain a reliable, well‑documented internal platform treated as a product. The position requires at least four years of experience as a Software Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer or Developer Experience Engineer. You must be comfortable with two or more areas such as build systems, CI, testing, observability, or release workflows, and be proficient with Python tooling and its packaging ecosystem. Strong fundamentals in software engineering, a keen debugging instinct, and a genuine enthusiasm for building productivity‑focused tools are essential. Additional assets include familiarity with packaging or dependency management in JavaScript, Rust, Go or similar languages, and hands‑on experience with Kubernetes deployment and troubleshooting. The office sits a five‑minute walk from Zurich’s central station, offering a collaborative onsite environment, growth potential, and the chance to shape product, culture and the future of AI‑driven knowledge work. DeepJudge values diverse perspectives and encourages all qualified candidates to apply.
