Cardio-Renal Discovery Area Leader - Expert Scientist

The Cardio-Renal Discovery Area Leader role is a scientific leadership position that focuses on pioneering novel cardiovascular and renal discovery programs, advancing them from target assessment through preclinical candidate selection. This role involves leading a team of translational scientists and discovery biologists to interrogate the complex biology of the cardiorenal axis. The leader will also interact with the Leadership Team, governance boards, and world-renowned scientists and academic networks in cardiology and nephrology. To be considered for this role, candidates must have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in a relevant life sciences discipline, such as Cardiovascular Physiology, Renal Physiology, Pharmacology, or Molecular Biology. They must also have 10+ years of progressive biopharmaceutical industry or premier academic translation experience, with a documented history of driving CV/renal assets from early concept to successful IND/CTA filing and FIH readiness. Advanced authority on the pathophysiology of cardiorenal networks and fluency in English are also required. As a leader in this role, the candidate will be expected to champion innovation, cultivate an environment of high performance and psychological safety, and drive the organization to deliver transformative breakthroughs for patients.
