Security Engineer

The Security Engineer role at Namespace focuses on protecting the company's systems, network, and infrastructure. Namespace builds a developer‑infrastructure platform that speeds up CI pipelines, builds and tests, helping hundreds of global customers ship features faster and more cost‑effectively. In this position you will design and implement firewalls, intrusion‑detection and intrusion‑prevention solutions, and continuously harden servers and network components. Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments will be carried out to spot weaknesses, while you create and roll out security‑first guidelines for the whole organization. Close collaboration with operations, developers and other stakeholders is essential to keep security integrated into daily workflows, and you will also assist the sales team by answering technical security questionnaires from customers. The ideal candidate must possess solid security‑engineering fundamentals and proven hands‑on experience securing production‑grade infrastructure, systems and networks. You should be comfortable with network security concepts, firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management and threat‑detection processes. The role requires the ability to translate identified risks into practical technical solutions and a deep knowledge of security best practices for modern cloud and infrastructure environments. Working side‑by‑side with engineering and operations teams to embed security into existing pipelines, while maintaining a strong bias toward execution and ownership in a fast‑moving setting, is also required.
