Recruitment for Multiple (Senior) Analyst Positions Across Multiple Regions & Countries: Acute Needs Analysis (Internal Candidates)

IMPACT Initiatives, founded in 2010 and based in Geneva, is a leading applied‑research organisation that supplies independent data for crisis‑affected settings. Through its REACH, AGORA and PANDA programmes, it helps humanitarian actors make evidence‑based choices by gathering and analysing timely, rigorous information. The vacancy concerns (Senior) Analyst – Acute Needs Analysis positions that will operate from a range of country offices across Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East and North Africa, and Sub‑Saharan Africa, with contracts lasting up to six months and beginning in mid‑September 2026. Analysts will steer the country‑level delivery of the second round of the Acute Needs Analysis, a concise briefing that translates data into actionable risk assessments for life‑threatening conditions. Core duties include coordinating the project with the headquarters programme team, mapping stakeholders, gathering and synthesising secondary data from REACH assessments, UN agencies, NGOs and public sources, judging data quality, and recommending targeted primary collection when needed. They will apply IMPACT’s global analytical framework—such as the Risk of Excess Mortality model—to produce structured findings, draft the brief using standard templates, and work with GIS and design staff to embed maps and tables. The final product will be reviewed internally, presented to clusters, working groups and donors, and fed into humanitarian prioritisation decisions. Analysts also contribute to lessons‑learned reviews, support knowledge‑sharing activities and uphold strict data confidentiality. Candidates must have at least three years of relevant experience in a humanitarian environment, covering analysis, assessments, monitoring and evaluation or research design, and must have worked directly in the field.
