The role is a Specialist, Innovative Finance & Strategic Partnerships. The company is an international organisation focused on developing and implementing innovative financing solutions. The main day-to-day responsibilities include developing and supporting innovative financing solutions and partnership opportunities. The role also involves identifying and managing a pipeline of potential transactions and strategic initiatives. Building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, including financial institutions and private-sector partners, is crucial. The specialist will support the negotiation, structuring, and implementation of complex agreements. They will also coordinate due diligence, approvals, reporting, and compliance activities. Preparing strategic analyses, briefing materials, recommendations, and presentations is part of the job. Monitoring project progress, risks, deliverables, and stakeholder commitments is essential. The role also involves contributing to the development of blended finance and alternative financing approaches. Representing the organisation in meetings, conferences, and external discussions is required. Collaboration with internal teams to ensure effective implementation of new financing solutions is key. The must-have requirements include an advanced university degree in finance, economics, business administration, international development, or a related field. Significant experience in innovative finance, development finance, blended finance, or a related area is necessary. Proven experience working with financial institutions, institutional partners, or private-sector stakeholders is required. Experience developing transactions, partnerships, or strategic pipelines is essential. Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and project management skills are needed. The ability to work effectively in complex, multicultural, and matrix environments is crucial. Strong problem-solving skills and an entrepreneurial mindset are important. Experience managing workplans, budgets, risks, reporting, and stakeholder relationships is required. Nice-to-have skills include experience in impact investing, private equity, venture capital, structured finance, insurance, or fixed income. Experience structuring transactions in developing or emerging markets is beneficial. Experience preparing due diligence reports, concept papers, and strategic recommendations is an advantage. Strong stakeholder management and consensus-building skills are desirable. Experience working in international organisations or large-scale development programmes is a plus. The role is based in a multicultural environment, and excellent English is essential. Knowledge of French or another additional language would be an advantage.
