Azure Cloud Engineer – Bicep / Infrastructure as Code (100%)

An experienced Azure Cloud Engineer is needed to help a client expand and maintain its Azure cloud platforms, which include a Swiss Sovereign Cloud environment and other regional Azure workloads. The role focuses on delivering production‑ready Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep and requires a professional who is already active in Azure infrastructure engineering. Day‑to‑day duties involve keeping Azure platforms stable, secure and reliably operating. The engineer will design, implement and sustain Azure infrastructure and services, write and troubleshoot Bicep code, and create automation scripts with PowerShell, Python and Ansible. Additional responsibilities include supporting monitoring, handling incidents, continuously improving the platform, collaborating with engineering and application teams to onboard new business applications, owning technical workstreams, and championing cloud‑engineering best practices and operational excellence. The position demands solid, hands‑on experience with Azure IaC in Bicep. Candidates must have at least three years of direct Bicep work (four or more years is preferred), be actively engaged in Azure infrastructure projects, and be capable of independently producing, understanding and fixing production Bicep code. A deep understanding of Azure subscriptions, resource configurations, dependencies and integrations is required, as is proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or Azure Infrastructure Engineer. Practical knowledge of Azure DevOps pipelines, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Windows and Linux environments, Azure networking and hybrid cloud setups, plus strong troubleshooting and operational support skills, are essential. The role also expects the ability to contribute effectively from day one with minimal onboarding. General Azure experience or expertise in other IaC tools such as Terraform or ARM templates does not replace the mandatory Bicep proficiency.
