AI Platform Engineer, Enablement and Governance Operations

Payward, the parent of Kraken and other financial‑technology brands, is expanding its internal AI platform that supports the world's longest‑running crypto exchange. The Enterprise Transformation team is looking for an AI Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate the technical foundation that lets the organization safely adopt new AI capabilities. In this role you will create the integration layer and production runbooks for the AI platform, close capability gaps by evaluating vendors or developing internal solutions, and own the governed integration gateway. You will manage connector onboarding, authentication flows such as OAuth and federated identity, and handle vendor escalations. The job also includes building internal tools, agent scaffolding, reusable prompts, evaluation harnesses, and automation for provisioning, and configuring tiered spend controls, alerting, and monthly reconciliations. You will enforce data‑handling policies, set up identity integration, SSO, and SCIM, and work directly with product and engineering teams to unblock workflows, run technical enablement sessions, and maintain comprehensive documentation. The position requires extensive experience administering enterprise SaaS environments with more than a thousand seats, a proven ability to deliver production‑ready software, and fluency in Python or a comparable language. Daily work relies on version‑control systems, continuous‑integration pipelines, containerisation, and secrets‑management tools. You must have hands‑on experience integrating large‑language‑model and SaaS APIs, and a solid background with identity providers such as Okta, including OAuth, SCIM, and SSO. Operational discipline, managing intake queues, service‑level agreements, runbooks, and escalation processes, is essential, as is the capacity to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences and produce clear documentation. Experience building an internal developer or AI platform, familiarity with FinOps or software‑asset‑management practices, and knowledge of low‑code workflow automation are considered advantageous.
