We are looking for an Executive Director to lead Medical Affairs and Evidence Generation for argenx's novel anti‑IgA antibody, ARG‑121. argenx is a biotech focused on immunology, delivering differentiated therapies such as VYVGART for generalized myasthenia gravis and expanding into many severe autoimmune diseases. The new asset aims to clear pathogenic IgA and block its receptor, initially targeting IgA nephropathy while exploring further indications. In this role you will steer the integrated evidence generation strategy for ARG‑121, working closely with science, clinical development, commercial and regional MA&EG teams worldwide. Daily tasks include shaping indication selection, influencing target product profiles, contributing to trial design and site choice, and guiding pre‑launch and commercialization plans. You will also lead the ARG‑121 MA&EG community, coordinating scientific communications, advisory boards, publications, congress activities and data‑generation projects, while regularly updating the broader team on progress. Success requires a deep understanding of complex disease biology and treatment landscapes, coupled with the ability to critically assess medical literature. Strong written and oral communication, along with polished interpersonal skills, are essential for influencing diverse stakeholders. Experience in preparing and delivering detailed scientific presentations is expected, as is proven capability to thrive in a fast‑moving, matrixed environment and to lead teams through uncertainty. The candidate must demonstrate agility in juggling competing priorities, a collaborative mindset that values co‑creation across functions and geographies, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive, high‑performing team culture. argenx offers a dynamic, science‑driven setting that blends start‑up agility with the resources of a growing global company. The position sits on the Asset Strategy Team and the MA&EG Leadership Team, providing visibility and impact on the company's Vision 2030 roadmap. The environment encourages flexible working, cross‑functional collaboration and the opportunity to shape a best‑in‑industry medical affairs organization while advancing a breakthrough therapy for patients with unmet needs. What the role asks for: - Ability to develop deep knowledge of complex disease areas - Proven skill evaluating medical and scientific literature - Excellent written and oral communication abilities - Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder influence - Experience preparing and delivering complex data presentations - Capability to work in fast‑moving matrixed environments - Proven leadership of teams through ambiguity - Agility in managing competing demands and priorities - Ability to co‑create and collaborate across functions and geographies
