The Senior Consultant role in Financial Services Tax & Regulatory Advisory in Geneva focuses on providing tax and regulatory advice to leading financial institutions, including banks, wealth managers, insurance companies, and asset managers. The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Senior Consultant include supporting clients with the interpretation, implementation, and application of regulatory and operational tax concepts. This involves guiding clients through onboarding rules, reviewing client documentation, applying tax calculation rules, classifying securities, and supporting tax reporting to both regulators and clients. The role also includes contributing to the development of holistic solutions by working closely with colleagues across Legal, Audit, and Consulting teams, as well as with international teams across different jurisdictions. Regular client secondments and on-site projects are a significant part of the job, offering international exposure and the opportunity to work across different countries and language regions. To qualify for this role, candidates must have 2-5 years of experience in Swiss and/or international tax, gained within a consulting services firm, Big4, or financial institution. A recognized degree in law, economics, finance, or a related field is required. Fluency in French and English is essential, with German and/or Italian being an advantage. Knowledge of tax transparency topics such as FATCA, QI, and CRS is also necessary. Nice-to-have skills include being a fast learner with strong analytical and numerical skills, combined with adaptability, flexibility, and a collaborative team spirit. The role offers a flexible and comprehensive learning journey, including technical tax training and opportunities to pursue external qualifications such as Swiss certified tax expert, LLM, or other relevant diplomas. The team is diverse and multicultural, providing a dynamic and flexible work environment.
