Technical Solutions Consultant (Pre-Sales)

Blockstream, founded in 2014 by Dr. Adam Back and a team of cryptographers, builds Bitcoin‑focused security and Layer‑2 solutions that aim to make financial systems more efficient and resilient. The Technical Solutions Consultant (Pre‑Sales) works as a customer‑facing technical specialist, helping banks and other financial institutions evaluate, design, and adopt Blockstream’s enterprise software throughout the sales journey. In this role you will partner closely with Enterprise Sales and other internal groups to run discovery workshops, understand regulatory and technical needs, and craft end‑to‑end architectures that leverage Blockstream’s products. You will deliver product demos, lead proof‑of‑concept activities, and act as the primary technical advisor from initial contact through solution validation. The position also involves responding to RFPs and RFIs, shaping commercial discussions with technical insight, and feeding market feedback back to product teams to improve demos and reference materials. Candidates must bring five to eight years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or related pre‑sales functions, preferably within banking, fintech, or technology infrastructure. A solid grasp of enterprise software architecture, APIs, integration patterns, cloud services, and modern deployment models is required, along with proven ability to design comprehensive solutions for complex environments. Strong presentation and storytelling skills, fluency in English, and the capacity to manage multiple engagements independently are essential. Regular travel across Switzerland is expected, and German or French are strongly preferred, with Italian viewed as an advantage. Preferred backgrounds include direct work with private banking, wealth management, payments, or capital‑markets firms, as well as familiarity with blockchain, Bitcoin, tokenisation, and Layer‑2 technologies. Experience in regulated‑industry software organisations and a track record of influencing product strategy through customer insights are also valued.
