EHG is a rapidly expanding company specializing in fuel cell power platforms, providing onsite power solutions for AI data centers, defense, and industrial sectors. Their proton exchange membrane (PEM) systems range from kW to GW scale and are designed, manufactured, and deployed globally. The company, founded in Switzerland, is now expanding into the United States, driven by the growing demand for AI data center power and a significant upcoming investment round. The Quality Manager will oversee a unified quality system across EHG's production facilities in Nyon, Switzerland, and Houston, Texas. This role involves ensuring that quality standards are identical at both sites, with the same specifications, control plans, and acceptance criteria. The manager will harmonize the quality management system, establish controls in Houston, and support certification for both European and US markets. Additionally, the role includes building supplier quality, overseeing contract manufacturing, and ensuring traceability and product records. The main responsibilities include managing a single quality management system, ensuring equivalence between sites, overseeing in-process quality for fuel cell stack production, managing supplier quality, overseeing contract manufacturing, handling nonconformance and corrective actions, maintaining traceability and product records, and ensuring certification across regions. The role also involves fostering a quality culture and building the US quality capability. The ideal candidate must have experience in owning quality across multiple manufacturing sites, ideally in different countries, and a proven ability to maintain the same standards remotely. Experience in establishing or rebuilding a quality function, hands-on in-process and incoming quality, supplier quality, and structured problem-solving is essential. Knowledge of product certification processes, particularly in energy or power equipment, is also required. The role demands the ability to work across time zones and influence a site remotely. Nice-to-have skills include experience with fuel cell, battery cell, or similar electrochemical assembly, cleanliness-critical or contamination-sensitive assembly processes, and technology transfer between sites. Experience with contract manufacturers, startup or scale-up environments, and working between Europe and the US, particularly with US codes and certification practices, is also valuable. French language skills are useful but not required. What the role asks for: - Experience in quality assurance across multiple production sites, ideally in more than one country, with the ability to maintain two sites at the same level. - Experience in setting up or significantly redesigning a quality function, including the creation of a quality management system. - Practical experience in process and incoming quality in a production environment, including control plans, inspection methods, measurement systems and process capabilities. - Experience in supplier quality, including supplier audits and adherence to standards. - Experience in structured problem-solving and root cause analysis, with evidence of permanently eliminating recurring defects. - Knowledge of the processes of product certification and the required evidence, ideally in the energy, power equipment or another regulated product area. - Experience in collaborating across time zones and influencing a site where one is not physically present, including the remote development of quality capability.
