Group Senior Manager Quality Applications

Octapharma AG is seeking a Group Senior Manager Quality Applications to lead its global Quality and Manufacturing digital landscape from its headquarters in Lachen, Switzerland. The role sits within the Global Business Applications division, which is responsible for delivering secure, compliant enterprise solutions that support the company's life‑saving medicines and its worldwide network of sites. The incumbent will shape and carry out the worldwide strategy for Quality applications, ensuring that digital tools align with business goals, regulatory demands and operational excellence. Core duties include translating the needs of Quality and Manufacturing into scalable solutions, overseeing demand and process management, and guiding the full application lifecycle. The manager will drive implementation and continuous improvement of systems while maintaining GxP, IT security and architectural standards, and will steer strategic projects from planning through delivery together with cross‑functional teams, external vendors and implementation partners. Leadership of a high‑performing global team, governance of service levels, vendor performance, and budget ownership for CAPEX and OPEX are also central responsibilities, as is promoting harmonised processes that focus on user experience and measurable business value. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Informatics, Business Administration or a related field and bring more than ten years of experience in IT business applications, consulting or digital transformation, preferably within the pharmaceutical or life‑sciences sector. Proven expertise in managing enterprise Quality applications in regulated GxP environments is required, together with a solid grasp of Quality business processes, application lifecycle management and digital transformation initiatives. Experience leading global implementation projects using Agile, PMI or similar methodologies, as well as managing external software vendors and strategic partners, is essential. Strong leadership, stakeholder‑management and communication abilities, analytical and problem‑solving skills, and fluency in English are also mandatory. Familiarity with leading Quality Management platforms such as Veeva, Trackwise, Generis, Ennov or comparable solutions is expected.
