Cytokinetics is a specialized cardiovascular biopharmaceutical company with over 25 years of experience in muscle biology. The company is dedicated to developing new medicines for patients with cardiac muscle dysfunction. The Director Sales Training, Europe, will report to the Head of Marketing, Europe, and will be responsible for creating a comprehensive European Commercial training and capability program. This role involves identifying innovative training solutions to enhance customer engagement, education, and prescribing. The main day-to-day responsibilities include architecting the European Capability Blueprint, which involves defining and owning the multi-year European Commercial Training & Capabilities strategy. This includes aligning learning pathways with European commercial business objectives and launch rollouts. The role also involves building core competency models, establishing scalable competency frameworks, onboarding tracks, and continuous learning pathways for Key Account Managers (KAMs), First-Line Managers, and field teams. Additionally, the Director will directly design and facilitate high-impact training workshops, conduct field visits, and develop rapid-response resources to support immediate field needs. The role also includes enabling commercial launch preparedness and training KAMs and field leaders on hybrid customer engagement. To qualify for this role, candidates must have a BS/BA degree with 12+ years of experience, including 7+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with product launch experience and a minimum of 5 years in sales training. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in other relevant European languages is an advantage. Candidates should have demonstrable experience in digital disciplines such as paid media, SEO, digital analytics, UX design, and email marketing. Significant experience working with creative and media agencies is also required. The ability to manage and work within financial and budgetary goals is essential. Understanding of EFPIA and local regulations for drug promotions, as well as experience with legal, medical, and regulatory review processes, is crucial. The role requires an understanding of the challenges of serving field-based audiences when developing training solutions. Nice-to-have skills include the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams, including Brand Marketing, Creative/CRM/Digital agencies, Market Research, Analytics, IT, Sales Operations, HR, and Medical/Regulatory/Legal business partners. The role is based in the Zug office and offers a hybrid, full-time position with a 1-year contract, with the possibility of extension.
