The Global Health Finance Coalition (GHFC) Associate works for the Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA), which runs GHFC as a cross‑sector forum aimed at closing financing gaps in worldwide health. The coalition gathers governments, NGOs, multilateral bodies, philanthropists and private firms to push for fair and lasting health funding. In this capacity the Associate supports the coalition's operational, advocacy and coordination work, reporting directly to GHFC leadership. Day‑to‑day duties involve keeping the coalition's schedule running smoothly: arranging virtual meetings, drafting agendas, taking minutes and following up on action points. The role also requires maintaining up‑to‑date member records, internal communication tools and shared document libraries, while monitoring timelines and deliverables across various work streams. Engaging new members, preparing briefing notes, newsletters and other membership materials, and acting as a liaison between partners to align advocacy priorities are also central tasks. In addition, the Associate helps craft policy briefs, concept notes, position statements and communication plans, supports GHFC's presence at major gatherings such as the World Health Assembly and UN General Assembly, and assists with planning webinars, workshops and other events, handling logistics and speaker coordination. The position calls for a solid academic background and relevant experience. Candidates must hold a bachelor's or master's degree in public health, global health policy, international development, economics, finance or a closely related field, and have between one and four years of professional work in global‑health advocacy, policy research, coalition coordination or health financing. Strong written and spoken communication abilities are essential, as is the capacity to produce clear, policy‑focused content for diverse audiences. The job demands excellent organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to juggle several tasks at once, together with a proven talent for building and maintaining relationships with civil‑society groups, government bodies and multilateral institutions. Proficiency with standard office suites such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is required, as is a proactive, collaborative attitude and a genuine commitment to GHFC's mission of equitable health financing. Working in this role offers exposure to high‑level global health forums and direct interaction with international partners, providing a dynamic environment where expertise in coordination and policy engagement can grow. The position promises professional development within a mission‑driven setting, with the chance to influence health financing discussions worldwide and to advance a career in global health coordination. What the role asks for: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in public health, global health policy, international development, economics, finance, or related field - 1–4 years experience in global health advocacy, policy research, coalition coordination, or health financing - Strong written communication skills - Strong verbal communication skills - Excellent organisational abilities with attention to detail - Ability to build and sustain stakeholder relationships - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace - Proactive, collaborative mindset and commitment to GHFC's mission
