The Senior Scientist, Quantitative Modeling & PK role drives non‑clinical drug development, guiding candidate selection through first‑in‑human dose prediction. Positioned within the Non‑Clinical PK & Modeling group, the position blends quantitative modeling expertise with deep knowledge of pharmacokinetics, pharmacology and early‑stage development. Day‑to‑day duties involve applying fit‑for‑purpose modeling to answer key development questions, building exposure‑response, PK‑target binding, empirical and mechanistic PK/PD, PBPK, systems‑biology and QSP models. The scientist also helps design, analyse and interpret non‑clinical PK, PK/PD and mechanistic studies, conducts non‑compartmental analysis of PK/TK data, and prepares reports for regulatory submissions. Clear communication of quantitative insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences, contribution to regulatory documents, and close collaboration with cross‑functional teams, including pharmacology, toxicology, translational research and clinical pharmacology, are essential. The position requires a Ph.D., M.Sc. or equivalent in Pharmacometrics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Systems Biology or a related field, plus at least three years of modeling and simulation experience supporting non‑clinical drug development in pharma, biotech or CRO settings. Candidates must demonstrate strong quantitative modeling capabilities (PK/PD, PBPK, QSP or similar), a solid grasp of PK and pharmacology, experience with non‑compartmental analysis, and proficiency in tools such as Monolix, Simulx, NONMEM, R, MATLAB or Phoenix WinNonlin. Excellent communication, teamwork, scientific curiosity, integrity and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment are also required. Experience with multiple drug modalities or therapeutic areas is considered a valuable addition. What the role asks for: - Ph.D., M.Sc., or equivalent in relevant quantitative discipline - Minimum 3 years modeling/simulation experience in non‑clinical drug development - Proficiency in PK/PD, PBPK, QSP or other mechanistic modeling - Strong understanding of pharmacokinetics and pharmacology - Experience with non‑compartmental analysis of PK/TK data - Use of tools such as Monolix, Simulx, NONMEM, R, MATLAB, Phoenix WinNonlin - Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills - Ability to work independently in fast‑paced environment - Nice-to-have: experience with multiple drug modalities or therapeutic areas
