QM Food Regulatory & Compliance Manager (f/m/d)

Planted develops plant‑based meat using proprietary structuring and fermentation methods, aiming to deliver products that taste like meat while relying solely on clean, natural ingredients. The company positions itself as a sustainable, health‑focused alternative that prioritises animal welfare and environmental responsibility. In this position you will translate national and international food legislation into practical actions across the entire product range. Your daily work includes generating and maintaining declaration data and product specifications, approving raw‑material and packaging choices, and overseeing the approval of printing data for labels. You will also manage the flow of article data from raw inputs to finished goods, qualify suppliers, conduct audits, and coordinate with co‑manufacturers to uphold quality and food‑safety standards. Supporting the sales team with customer queries, contracts and compliance issues, handling internal and external food‑law questions, and overseeing product‑specific certifications such as the V‑Label are also part of the remit, as is acting as Planted’s Food Fraud Officer to monitor the supply chain. The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science or a comparable field, together with three to six years of experience in the food sector, preferably in quality management or regulatory affairs. Candidates must have demonstrable skills in handling article data, creating declarations and managing specifications, and must be fluent in English; German is highly desirable, while additional languages like French or Italian are advantageous. A precise, structured, hands‑on approach and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently are essential.
