Senior Director, Search & Evaluation Late TA Lead, Immunology

CSL is strengthening its capacity to bring in external breakthroughs and seeks a Senior Director of Search & Evaluation to guide the future of its Immunology programme. The position will steer the identification and assessment of later‑stage clinical candidates, influencing the direction of the therapeutic area and supporting high‑impact collaborations. Key duties involve leading the hunt for assets ranging from Phase 2 studies to approved medicines, aligning discoveries with the therapeutic strategy and unmet patient needs. The role co‑chairs internal reviews of new product possibilities, works closely with cross‑functional groups to conduct thorough due‑diligence, and partners with Business Development and regional leads to move promising opportunities toward deal closure. Regular interaction with external opinion leaders, trial investigators and scientific networks is essential to validate prospects, understand study designs and anticipate market competition. Applicants must bring more than fifteen years of experience within the biopharmaceutical sector, covering clinical development, external innovation or business development. An advanced qualification such as an MD, PhD or comparable degree is required, together with deep Immunology clinical knowledge. A record of successfully sourcing and finalising late‑stage transactions, a solid understanding of regulatory routes and market‑access considerations, and proven ability to work with key opinion leaders and investigators are also mandatory. The role is based on a hybrid model, demanding three on‑site days each week at one of CSL's R&D hubs in Zurich, Maidenhead, Waltham or King of Prussia. The position cannot be performed remotely, offering a collaborative environment within the Therapy Area Leadership Team and the chance to shape a growing portfolio.
