What does AI interview training cost in Switzerland?
Updated:
In short
AI interview training in Switzerland costs between nothing and about CHF 15 a month. On SwissJobs.app you can try it without an account, a free account scores five spoken answers a month, and the subscription at CHF 15 a month or CHF 95 a year raises that to 40 or 80. For comparison, Swiss interview coaches list CHF 75 to 90 per half hour, or CHF 230 for a mock interview with feedback. If you are registered with the RAV and assigned to a course, you pay nothing.
Whether a course is assigned, and which one, is decided by your RAV, and its answer is the binding one. Third-party prices come from their own pages and may change.
Practise the interview out loud, and see how you scored
An AI panel asks the questions and you answer by voice, the way the real call goes. Afterwards you get a pass probability and the moments that cost you.
Start a live practice interviewThe gap is large, but it is not a like-for-like comparison. AI practice is priced per answer rehearsed; a coach is priced per hour of a person who can see your posture, your delivery and how you come across. So the useful question is not which is cheaper but what you are paying for at this stage. The table below sets the offers side by side, dated and sourced.
Prices from the providers' own pages, read 16 Sept 2026. laufbahnvision.ch is a guide price excluding VAT. SwissJobs.app: one month of the subscription, up to 40 scored answers.
- SwissJobs.app AI mock interview: try it without an account, five scored answers a month on a free account, CHF 15 a month or CHF 95 a year on the subscription.
- Human interview coaching in Switzerland: CHF 75 to 90 per half hour, CHF 230 for a simulation with feedback, CHF 180 an hour excluding VAT as a career adviser's guide price (checked 16 Sept 2026).
- Used in full, one scored answer costs about 38 centimes on the monthly plan and about 10 centimes on the yearly one.
- RAV courses are free for participants: the ordinance bars course fees and charges for materials.
- A coach earns the fee when the problem is presence, nerves in front of people, or a senior role. AI does not.

The prices, all read on the same day
Every figure here comes from the provider's own page, read on 16 September 2026, not from a comparison site. Three Swiss offers for human interview training show the range. coaching-job.ch lists interview training at CHF 75 per 30 minutes for the standard version and CHF 90 per 30 minutes for the expert version, billed per quarter hour. cvpics.ch sells an interview training package for CHF 230: roughly 35 minutes of simulated interview and 35 minutes of feedback, with your CV and target job reviewed beforehand, by video or in person in Thalwil. laufbahnvision.ch gives a guide price of CHF 180 an hour for advice, excluding VAT, after a free first conversation.
The SwissJobs.app AI mock interview uses tiers rather than an hourly rate. Without an account it generates two questions for your job advert and scores your first answer. A free account adds five scored answers on the day you sign up and five a month after that. The subscription is CHF 15 a month or CHF 95 a year, starts with a seven-day trial, can be cancelled at any time, and covers every tool on the site, not just interviews. It lifts the limit to 40 scored answers a month, or 80 on the yearly plan. A full round is eight questions.
Working it out per practised answer
An hourly rate and a monthly plan only compare once you put them in the same unit, and the obvious one is a single answer, spoken aloud and then assessed. On the monthly plan, used in full, that is CHF 15 divided by 40: around 38 centimes an answer. On the yearly plan, CHF 95 across twelve months of 80 answers comes to about 10 centimes. A complete eight-question round therefore costs roughly CHF 3 on the monthly plan.
How many answers fit into half an hour with a coach, the providers do not say, so we do not calculate it. The order of magnitude is clear enough: at CHF 75 for 30 minutes, one coaching slot costs the same as five months of the subscription. What that slot buys is something no division captures, a person who thinks along with you, pushes back, and watches how you walk into the room.
The sums also flip if you do not use the plan. Practise two answers in a month and each one costs CHF 7.50. The subscription makes sense in the weeks when real interviews are booked; before that, the free account is enough to find out whether this way of practising suits you at all.
What the price includes, and what it leaves out
With AI practice you are paying for repetition. Questions are built from your CV and the actual job advert, you set the company size and up to five roles on the panel, and each spoken answer comes back with an assessment and the reasoning behind it. You can answer the same awkward question three times the night before the interview without a meter running in fifteen-minute blocks. Practice runs in German, French, Italian or English.
What it leaves out is everything that has to be seen. The scoring hears what you say, not how you sit, how loudly you speak or whether you hold eye contact. coaching-job.ch, by contrast, works with video recordings and a checklist that includes posture, clothing and non-verbal communication. Those are the reasons a person costs more. It is not simply a pricier route to the same result.
When a coach is worth the fee
Sometimes the more expensive hour is the better spend. If you freeze in front of real people, a machine does not train the thing that blocks you. If you are applying for a management role where presence counts, you need someone who can judge it. And if your doubt is not about answering but about direction, whether the move, the sector or the job fits at all, that is career advice, not interview practice.
Conversely, coaching time is often wasted on fundamentals: initial, unpolished versions of standard inquiries, the salary figure that's never been uttered aloud, and an introduction that takes three minutes to deliver on the first attempt. These preliminary rounds can be tackled independently beforehand, allowing the coach to focus on refining a more effective approach. In reality, the cost-effective practice sessions can significantly enhance the value of the paid consultations.
Free through the RAV if you are registered
If you are registered with the RAV (the regional employment office), ask about an application course with interview practice before paying for anything. Article 85a of the unemployment insurance ordinance (AVIV) states that the organiser of a labour-market measure may not charge participants for course fees or learning materials. Which courses exist and whether you are assigned is decided by your RAV case by case, and it varies between cantons.
The catch is timing. A course is assigned and scheduled; it is rarely available tomorrow. For an interview in three days it will hardly help, but for a longer job search it is the best value there is. Our page on free interview practice goes through the no-cost routes in more detail.
What to check behind "free" and "subscription"
With AI tools the price is often not where you expect it. Three questions settle it in a few minutes. Where exactly does the free part stop: at the question, at the feedback, or at the download? Is there a cap even on the paid plan? Does a trial roll over into a paid plan automatically? Our answers are above, including the cap on the paid plan, which exists because spoken minutes are the most expensive part of the tool to run.
With human coaching, look at how you are billed: per quarter hour, per package or per hour, with or without VAT, and whether the first conversation is free. A package covering simulation and feedback is easier to budget than an hourly rate where the debrief runs extra.
If you are moving from Germany, France, Italy or further afield, do not benchmark Swiss coaching fees against what you would pay at home. They sit at the level of Swiss salaries, so an hour of coaching for a round of interviews quickly runs into three figures. That is exactly why cheap preparation beforehand makes sense.
A realistic budget for one job search
For most people this plan is enough. Use the free account to see whether this kind of practice works for you. Once one or two real interviews are booked, take one month of the subscription for CHF 15, run two full rounds per interview against the real advert, and cancel afterwards. If it becomes clear the problem is not your answers but presence or nerves, book a single session with a coach and bring the answers you have already practised.
If you are registered with the RAV, check for the free course first. And if you already use a general voice assistant, you can practise speaking loosely with it, with no link to an advert and no scoring. For a very first start, that is enough.
