Interview practice (live AI)

SwissJobs.app or Final Round AI?

Updated:

In short

They do different jobs. Final Round AI is mainly an assistant for the real interview: its desktop app listens in and shows suggested answers in a window hidden from screen sharing. That costs USD 150 a month, or USD 25 a month on the yearly plan. SwissJobs.app is practice beforehand: you rehearse aloud against a Swiss job advert and every answer is scored, for CHF 15 a month. If you are preparing for an interview in Switzerland, in German, French, Italian or English, we fit better; for coding rounds at US tech firms, they do.

Practise the interview out loud, and see how you scored

An AI panel asks the questions and you answer by voice, the way the real call goes. Afterwards you get a pass probability and the moments that cost you.

Before paying for either, know that ChatGPT's voice mode is free, it is good, and most people try it first. It asks questions and listens, but it only knows your advert if you paste it in, and it does not score against a fixed rubric. The tables below show what the two paid tools add on top.

  • Final Round AI, read on 16 September 2026: free unlimited mock interviews with a basic report; the live CoPilot costs USD 150 monthly, USD 250 a quarter or USD 300 a year, with no free trial.
  • SwissJobs.app: first scored answer without an account, free account with 5 answers a month, subscription CHF 15 a month or CHF 95 a year with 40 or 80 scored answers a month.
  • Final Round AI is stronger on coding, system design and US tech interviews; we are stronger on Swiss adverts, the national languages and the tools around the same application.
  • We deliberately do not offer help during the real interview.

SwissJobs.app or Final Round AI: which to choose?

Final Round AI helps you during the real conversation; we help before it. You rehearse aloud against a Swiss advert that already sits in our job index, in the language the interview will be held in.

  • The advert is already there — You start practice from a job we list; the questions come from that advert and your CV, with nothing to copy and paste.

  • Four tools on the same advert — CV, motivation letter, CV check and interview prep share the same data, plus the tracker that fills the SECO job-search form for the RAV.

  • CHF 15 instead of USD 150 a month — Our monthly plan costs a fraction of theirs, in francs, with seven days of full access first.

  • No account, no install — Practice runs in the browser with your microphone; the first scored answer needs no sign-up.

Two tools for two moments

Final Round AI describes its main product, Interview CoPilot, like this: it listens to the live call in Zoom, Teams, Meet or Webex and shows a short answer "seconds after the question" for you to say in your own words. Stealth Mode is on by default and keeps the window out of screen shares and recordings. On top of that come practice interviews in eight scenarios, from behavioural questions to salary negotiation and coding, and an automatic debrief after each session.

Our practice comes earlier. You provide your CV and the advert, choose the company size and up to five people on the panel, and an AI voice asks you eight questions. Each spoken answer comes back with a percentage and the reasoning behind it. In the real interview you are on your own, and that is what it prepares you for.

What Final Round AI costs on 16 September 2026

The pricing overview says "USD 25 a month". The plans page, which only loads its prices in the browser, lists four paid plans: USD 150 monthly, USD 83.33 a month billed quarterly, USD 25 a month billed yearly, and "Premium MAX" at USD 41.67 a month, also yearly. So the USD 25 is USD 300 paid upfront. If you only need the next four weeks of interviews, you pay USD 150, about CHF 123 at that day's rate.

The page says plainly: "There is no free trial". Live sessions need an active subscription. What stays free is unlimited practice interviews with a basic report and a limited question bank. Above the plans it reads "Sign in to reveal today's discount"; the discount only shows with an account, so we have not seen it.

Where Final Round AI is the better choice

Technical interviews. Coding and system design with screen help, HireVue-style formats, and a question bank the plans page puts at over ten thousand questions: we have none of that, and if you are applying to a US tech company you will practise more relevantly there. Their free practice is also more generous than ours, because mock interviews are unlimited, while our free account gives five scored answers a month.

If you practise a lot and already know you will be interviewing for a year, their yearly plan brings it to USD 25 a month. That is still more than the CHF 7.92 a month on our yearly plan, but the gap is smaller than the monthly prices suggest.

Where we fit an application in Switzerland

A Swiss interview often turns on things a US tool does not model: what your Arbeitszeugnis (the written Swiss employer reference) says, which workload percentage you want, whether your permit is enough, and your CEFR level in French and whether you can show it in the room. If you are relocating, expect a tone that is more factual and less about self-promotion than you may be used to. Our practice asks in the language of the interview, German, French, Italian or English, and works from the actual advert.

The second difference is what surrounds the practice. The advert comes from our own job index, and the same subscription writes the CV and motivation letter for it, checks the CV against it and logs the application in the tracker. If you are registered with the RAV, the Swiss employment office, that fills the job-search form; what counts is what you submit to the RAV on time.

One interview in ten days: what each route costs

Take a concrete case. The interview is in ten days and you want three full rounds of practice, roughly two dozen spoken answers. On Final Round AI that costs nothing as long as the mock interviews are enough: they are unlimited on the free plan, with a basic report. The advanced report and the full question bank come with a paid plan, and the shortest one is USD 150.

With us the free account does not quite cover one round: five scored answers on the day you sign up, then five a month. For three rounds you take one month of the subscription at CHF 15, which covers up to 40 scored answers, and cancel afterwards. In the same month you can write the CV and motivation letter for the next job at no extra cost.

If you want the live CoPilot in the real interview instead, there is no cheap way in: no trial, USD 150 for one month, otherwise USD 250 or USD 300 upfront. If you have a single interview ahead of you, do that sum before you buy.

Suggested answers in the real interview: why we do not build it

Final Round AI advertises "100% invisible" and "100% undetectable". Whether that holds in every video tool we cannot check. The mechanism is clear: the employer sees you, and you read suggestions they cannot see. Whether you want that is your decision. We did not build it because a Swiss hiring process rarely ends with one answer: reference checks, trial days and questions about your Arbeitszeugnis follow, and you have to stand behind what you said.

Who should pick which

Use ChatGPT's free voice mode if you simply want to speak out loud once. Use Final Round AI if you are practising for coding or system-design rounds, applying to US companies, or want unlimited free mock interviews. Use SwissJobs.app if you are preparing for a specific advert in Switzerland and want CV, letter and interview practice from one plan billed in francs. And if nerves in front of people are the real problem rather than your answers, a coach will help more than any of the three.
