Interview practice (live AI)

SwissJobs.app or Yoodli?

Updated:

In short

Yoodli and SwissJobs.app both let you rehearse a job interview with AI, but they measure different things. Yoodli analyses how you speak: pace, filler words, delivery. SwissJobs.app scores what you say, against a specific Swiss job advert and your own CV, in German, French, Italian or English. If you are preparing for a particular job in Switzerland, SwissJobs.app is the better fit; if your main goal is to speak more smoothly and calmly, Yoodli does that well.

Practise the interview out loud, and see how you scored

An AI panel asks the questions and you answer by voice, the way the real call goes. Afterwards you get a pass probability and the moments that cost you.

Yoodli is a US product whose main customers today are sales and training teams; interview preparation is one use case among several. It prices in US dollars: Pro is USD 8 a month and Advanced USD 20 a month, both billed annually in advance. SwissJobs.app costs CHF 15 a month or CHF 95 a year, and the subscription covers every tool on the site, not only interview practice.

Before paying for either, know that ChatGPT's voice mode is free and surprisingly good for loose speaking practice. What it lacks is scoring against an advert and an analysis of delivery, and those two gaps are exactly where the tools on this page split.

  • What gets assessed: Yoodli analyses delivery (pace, filler words, clarity). SwissJobs.app scores the content of each answer from 0 to 10, split into substance, structure and fit to the job.
  • Where the questions come from: on Yoodli you type the role and get follow-up questions based on your answers. On SwissJobs.app the questions are built from your CV and the advert text, spread across up to five people on the panel.
  • Free: Yoodli Starter gives five sessions, once, for the lifetime of the account. SwissJobs.app scores one answer with no account, five on the day you sign up for a free account and five a month after that.
  • Paid: Yoodli Pro USD 8 a month (about CHF 6.55), paid a year ahead, up to ten sessions a week. SwissJobs.app CHF 15 a month with 40 scored answers, or CHF 95 a year with 80 a month.
  • What sets Yoodli apart is its ability to scrutinize your speaking style, provide feedback on uploaded recordings, and a tool that gently nudges you to stay on pace and hit your talking points in actual online interviews.

Why choose SwissJobs.app over Yoodli for a Swiss application

Yoodli trains how you sound. SwissJobs.app trains whether your answer fits the job you are actually applying for.

  • The advert is already there — We carry more than 20,000 open Swiss adverts; open the practice from a listing and the questions are written against that text, with nothing to copy or paste.

  • Content is scored — Every answer gets a number from 0 to 10, three sub-scores, a short explanation, and a note on what a strong answer would have included.

  • The room as it looks in Switzerland — You set company size and up to five roles on the panel; a large corporation asks structured competency questions in the formal register, a five-person firm does not.

  • Three national languages, plus English — Practise in German, French, Italian or English, matching the language the advert was written in.

  • One subscription, billed in francs — CV, a motivation letter for the same advert, the CV check and interview practice together cost CHF 15 a month.

What Yoodli is, as read on 16 September 2026

In the summary it publishes for AI systems, Yoodli calls itself a roleplay and communication coaching platform for sales enablement and learning teams, and names Google Cloud and Snowflake among its customers. Interview preparation sits alongside sales calls, customer support and public speaking as one use case.

For job seekers, its interview preparation page describes three steps. You enter the role you are preparing for, answer the questions, and Yoodli asks contextual follow-ups based on what you said. Then it produces a speaking report with analytics such as pacing and filler words, plus suggestions. It also offers to run privately during your real online interview, nudging you to slow down or hit your talking points, and to write a report on how that interview went.

This is a serious product with one clear strength: it listens to delivery. If you rush, say "um" a lot or lose the thread, Yoodli measures it and shows you.

What SwissJobs.app does differently

Our interview practice commences with the advert itself. Begin by selecting a job, whether through our Swiss job listings or by copying the text of an advert you've discovered elsewhere, and attach your CV. Next, state the size of the company and the individuals who will be seated in the room: up to five roles, including, for instance, an HR partner, the prospective line manager, and a specialist. The questions are then distributed among these individuals in a manner akin to a genuine panel.

You answer out loud. Each answer is scored from 0 to 10 with three sub-scores, substance, structure and fit to the job, a two- or three-sentence explanation, and a note on what a strong answer would have included. A full round is eight questions, and it ends with a percentage estimate of how likely that round would be passed. It is a practice figure, not a prediction of any hiring decision.

What the scoring does not hear is your delivery. It works from what you said, not from pauses, volume or filler words. That is where Yoodli is stronger, and any honest recommendation has to start there.

If you are applying to Switzerland from abroad

Most English-language interview advice, and most tools built on it, assume an American hiring process. A Swiss interview differs in ways that are easy to miss when you are relocating. German-speaking employers switch between the formal Sie and the informal du depending on company size and sector. A corporation tends to ask structured competency questions; a small firm wants to know whether you fit the team and when you can start. You will be asked about your workload percentage (Pensum) and often about your permit, and a salary question expects a yearly figure in francs, with or without a 13th monthly salary.

Then there is language. An English-speaking role in Zurich may still involve a German-speaking manager, and a job in Geneva or Lugano usually means an interview in French or Italian. Being able to rehearse in the language of the advert matters more here than in most countries. On the Yoodli pages we read, we found no statement of which languages practice supports; the pages themselves are all in English.

For readers outside of Switzerland, it's worth noting that our free account can be created using just an email address, eliminating the need for a Swiss address or social security number. This makes it feasible to set up a free account before you move. What sets our tool apart from more general solutions is that its questions are tailored to Swiss job adverts and conventions from the outset.

The prices, and what sits behind them

Yoodli has three plans for individuals. Starter is free and includes five sessions, once, not per month; any practice longer than thirty seconds counts as a session. Pro costs USD 8 a month billed annually, so USD 96 up front, about CHF 79, for up to ten sessions a week. Advanced costs USD 20 a month billed annually, USD 240 a year or about CHF 197, with no cap.

Three things are not in the headline price. First, the up-front payment: the low monthly figures apply to a full year paid at the start. Second, refunds: Yoodli says cancelling only stops the renewal, and nothing is refunded. Third, data: on Starter and Pro, session data may be used to improve the platform; it is excluded only from Advanced upwards. Paying from a franc account may also add a foreign-currency fee on your card.

SwissJobs.app costs CHF 15 a month or CHF 95 a year, starts with seven days of full access and can be cancelled at any time. Interview practice has a cap even on the paid plan, 40 scored answers a month or 80 on the yearly plan, because spoken minutes are the most expensive part of the tool to run. On the yearly plan that makes one scored answer roughly 10 centimes, and the price also covers the CV builder, the motivation letter and the CV check.

Who should choose which

For a forthcoming job interview in Switzerland, select SwissJobs.app if you wish to verify whether your responses align with that precise job posting. This tool is especially useful for French and Italian language interviews, and it also helps those who need both a CV and a motivation letter for the same job.

Choose Yoodli when your problem is not content but delivery: speaking too fast, too many filler words, answers that run long. It also suits you if you are preparing presentations as well, or if your employer will pay for it as professional development; Advanced produces a reimbursement letter for that.

Choose neither if all you want is to speak out loud once before the real thing. ChatGPT's voice mode or a friend reading the questions will do. And if you freeze in front of real people, an hour with a human coach is likely to help more than another app.

Using both

The two are not mutually exclusive, because they measure different things. A sensible order: practise against the advert until the content of your answers holds up, then speak the same answers a few times within Yoodli's free allowance to check pace and filler words. Five free sessions are often enough for that, without a yearly plan in dollars.

All Yoodli details read without an account on yoodli.ai on 16 September 2026: the pricing page (rendered, annual view), the interview preparation page and llms.txt. We did not find the month-to-month price or the supported practice languages there and have not stated them. Dollar amounts converted at that day's rate.
